Throughout the Final Fantasy series, many weapons have been notoriously hard to obtain, often demanding hours of grinding through the toughest battles. In Final Fantasy XVI, the most challenging weapon to acquire is Original Sin, which is only accessible on “Final Fantasy” difficulty during a New Game+ playthrough.
To unlock Original Sin, players must first complete the game and then start a New Game+. They’ll also need to complete 20 rounds of the “Circles of Kairos Gate” in The Rising Tide combat mode, which are among the game’s hardest encounters. After this grueling process, players can craft the Original Sin sword by gathering the Ultima Weapon, Tidestrike, Opportunity, and a Flawless Water Shard. Once crafted, Original Sin becomes one of the most powerful swords available in Final Fantasy XVI.
