Final Fantasy 16: Collector’s Edition goes hard with a hefty price
Final Fantasy 16 Collector’s Edition Boasts Impressive Content, but Comes with a Hefty $300 Price Tag.
At The Game Awards yesterday, the highly anticipated release date of Final Fantasy 16 was finally announced as June 22, 2023. In addition to the release date reveal, Square Enix showcased the game’s Collector’s Edition, which can be seen in the trailer above and features an array of physical and digital items.
The centerpiece of the Collector’s Edition is a stunning statue of Ifrit, one of the incredibly powerful Eikons in Final Fantasy 16. The massive summon is depicted battling a Phoenix-like creature, which has been previously portrayed as a weapon wielded by protagonist Clive in the game’s key art.
Furthermore, the Collector’s Edition includes a physical map of Final Fantasy 16’s in-game world, a set of eight pins likely representing the eight Eikon summons, a steelbook, and the physical game itself. The steelbook showcases exquisite artwork created by the developers at Square Enix.
Overall, the Collector’s Edition for Final Fantasy 16 appears to be quite remarkable. However, the impressive content comes with an equally substantial price tag of $300. While this may be a steep investment for many Final Fantasy fans, the franchise’s popularity and the excitement surrounding this new installment may justify the cost for some enthusiasts.
