Modding Final Fantasy 16 Manually

Modding FFXVI Manually

Warning
If you plan to release mods, it’s recommended to create them for Reloaded-II rather than manually modding the game. This helps avoid potential conflicts with other pack files.

If you prefer to manually mod the game, you can use FF16Tools.

You have the option to completely rebuild a .pac file, though it’s recommended to use .diff.pac files instead.

When repacking an extracted folder, make sure the output pack file includes .diff in the name, as the game will recognize and load this file.

For example, if your original files came from 0000.pac, the new pack file should be named 0000.diff.pac.

Afterward, run the following command:
FF16Tools.exe pack -i <path to folder>
