Final Fantasy XVI’s PC Release Confirmed for September
The highly anticipated PC release of Final Fantasy XVI is set for September 17th, and you’ll be able to grab it on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. To give you a taste of what’s to come, a free demo is available ahead of the launch.
Square Enix has officially marked September 17th, 2024, as the release date for the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI. Originally launched on PS5 in June 2023, the game has since expanded with two DLC chapters: “Echoes of the Fallen” in December and “The Rising Tide” in April.
Preorders for Final Fantasy XVI are now open on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, with special editions that bundle the base game and both DLCs available for preorder as well. Additionally, you can dive into the game early by downloading a demo from either platform, with your progress in the opening section carrying over to the full game.
Since its initial launch, Final Fantasy XVI has received numerous updates, including bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements like the “quick complete” feature that lets players quickly return to quest givers.
Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida previously confirmed in September that the game would be getting a PC port, and now the wait is almost over.
